Microsoft Pays AI Employees More Than Others
Microsoft continues to invest heavily in AI, pouring billions into companies like OpenAI and launching new services like Copilot. The company has also established an AI organization Led by Mustafa Suleyman, co-founder of Deepmind.
However, a report from Business Insider revealed a noticeable disparity in salaries between AI employees and the rest of Microsoft's departments.
According to unofficial data, AI employees earn an average total compensation of about $377,611, which is about $120,000 higher than the average salaries in other departments such as Azure and cloud computing.
Although this data is based on self-reports from employees, the salary gap between AI employees and the rest of the company is clear.
Microsoft's success in artificial intelligence has been positively reflected in its recent financial results, and this trend is expected to continue.
However, this salary disparity may lead to some internal tensions, especially in light of the salary freeze and bonus cuts in some other departments.
